NANCY SNOW CARR
The Light in the Piazza
has been a singer, actor, and educator for over 25 years, and is currently a full-time Lecturer teaching Private Voice Lessons to MFA and BA Musical Theatre Majors at San Diego State University. Nancy holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Elon University, an MFA in Musical Theatre from San Diego State Univ
-ersity, and is currently pursuing an MM in Contemporary Commercial Music Vocal Pedagogy from Shenandoah University (2026). National Tours: Phantom and The Buddy Holly Story; Regional: Washington, DC, Summer of ‘42 (Dorothy) Round House Theatre; seven years in Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas! at The Old Globe Theatre; Singin’ in the Rain (Lina Lamont) The Rev, NY and The Last Goodbye (Lady Montague) with Alex Timbers, The Old Globe Theatre. Recent SD projects: Margaret in The Light in the Piazza, CCAE; Rosie in Mamma Mia and Alice in The Addams Family, both at The Welk Resort Theatre. Nancy has served as faculty on 3 voyages with Semester at Sea as Theatre Faculty seeing 34 countries on a ship with 600 college students! Nancy operates a private voice studio here in SD, but her most important job is being a mother to Elliott Carr, her 9 year old son.

(San Diego Musical Theatre); Beauty & The Beast: Live! (Disney World); Jesus Christ Superstar, Little Shop of Horrors (Lyric Theatre of Puerto Rico). Berto was named 2022 Actor of the Year by the San Diego Theatre Critics’ Circle. Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he has shared the stage with superstars like Ricky Martin and Andrea Bocelli.

has had the pleasure to perform in various cabarets for CCAE Theatricals in the past, including: The Beach Boys, Simply Sondheim, Rising Stars, The Great American Songbook, and others. You may also recognize him as one of the four Piano Men who have
presented concerts of Billy Joel/Elton John and the Beatles here at CCAE. Regional musical theatre credits include: Leo Frank in Parade (Chance Theatre), Jerry in The Full Monty (3D Theatricals), Tateh in Ragtime (Candlelight Pavilion), The Baker in Into The Woods (Lewis Family Playhouse), and Curly in Oklahoma (The Welk Resort Theatre). Off stage, Allen works as a professional musical director/conductor and pianist. In addition to having musically directed over 60 musicals throughout Southern CA, Allen serves as musical coordinator for St. Dorothy’s Parish in Glendora and is a member of the Citrus College music faculty. Love to his wife, Miranda!
