In this class, you will learn the basics of analyzing, scanning, understanding, breaking down, and performing a Shakespeare monologue. You will choose from two monologues to work on in this intensive, and together we will work with both and perform one at the end of the class.

Class Description
In this class, you will learn the basics of analyzing, scanning, understanding, breaking down, and performing a Shakespeare monologue. You will choose from two monologues to work on in this intensive, and together we will work with both and perform one at the end of the class. You will leave the class with a thorough understanding of how to approach working on Shakespeare, which is an essential skill to apply to all styles of theatre.
Artist Bio
Allison started her career in Music Theatre where she studied and attained her B.F.A in MT from Elon University. She spent many years in New York and on tour performing on Broadway and film/tv. She always had a desire to learn about the classics and Shakespeare and was fortunate to be accepted into USD/The Old Globe M.F.A program. Allison continues to perform on stage in all styles around San Diego and can be seen in many commercials and ads regionally and globally. She coaches for Google, AWS, MTCA, and privately.
