The Piano Men: Billy Joel & Elton John Edition

CCAE Theatricals’ hit show, The Piano Men return to the California Center for the Arts with their Billy Joel & Elton John Edition. Join Allen, Jake, Benny and Jack as they bounce back and forth between two grand pianos, backed by their live on stage band. “Benny & The Jets”, “Uptown Girl”, “Rocket Man” and “Piano Man” are just a few of the many hits you will hear. You won’t want to miss this spectacular night of theatrical showmanship, bringing the songs of these two iconic Piano Men to life like you’ve never experienced before!

Big Broadway Bingo: A Theatrical Fundraiser

CCAE Theatricals is excited to bring back Big Broadway Bingo, our one-of-a-kind rapid fire musical theatre event! Putting the FUN in fundraiser, this hilarious and random night of Broadway Show Tunes will support our current season of in-house theatrical productions. 5 Singers. 75 Possible Songs. 1 Unforgettable Evening. Come and play BINGO and be entertained by our incredible cast of performers, all while supporting CCAE Theatricals’ mission to bring the best of live theatre to Escondido!

A Big Band Christmas

December 8, 9 & 10th, 2023

Swing into the holiday spirit with the D. Ben-jamin’ Big Band Orchestra, singers, swing dancers and new arrangements of Christmas classics by Duane Benjamin. Performing the hits from the holiday season, including "Silent Night," "Let It Snow," "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas," "Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree," "Little Drummer Boy" and more. Plus, a special appearance by Santa Claus!

Rising Stars: 12th Annual Showcase

January 14th at 6p, 2024

CCAE Theatricals will bring this annual showcase of some of the area’s brightest Rising Stars back to Escondido in 2024! Now in its 12th Year, the show features the best up and coming talent from all over Southern California singing some of the most exciting songs ever written! This is definitely a show you don’t want to miss! With songs from Mainstream Radio and Broadway, come see why the future of Theatre is in good hands with these exciting young artists!

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

February 17th - March 3, 2024

Winner of the 2015 Tony Award for Best New Play, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is a “dazzling, pulse-pounding and remarkable” (Time Out New York) adaptation of Mark Haddon’s internationally best-selling novel. Fifteen-year-old Christopher has an extraordinary brain and is very gifted at math. He is exceptionally intelligent, but unfortunately ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. When he falls under suspicion for killing the neighbor’s dog, Christopher is determined to identify the culprit in true Sherlock Holmes style, which leads him on a thrilling journey across London that will change his life forever. A thrilling, heartwarming and uplifting theatrical event for the entire family.

After multiple sold out runs in the Center Theater, CCAE Theatricals’ Motown: The Groove that Changed America will move to the Center’s 1,500 seat Concert Hall in March 2024. The D. Ben-Jamin’ Band will be adding a live string section to the mix. We’ll be adding more performers, new songs and of course bringing back all of your favorites too! You won’t want to miss our annual celebration of Motown when it returns bigger than ever before!

CCAE Theatricals is thrilled to bring you the newest addition to our Spotlight Series of shows. Nashville Nights is a country music extravaganza that takes you on a journey through the heart of Music City. This high-energy show features some of the best country music hits of all time, performed by a talented cast of singers and musicians. From classic country to modern hits, Nashville Nights has something for everyone. With its toe-tapping rhythms, soulful ballads, and electrifying performances, this is a must-see for any country music fan.
